Guardian Angel

My aunt has had a framed print of the painting this is based on, for over 70 years. When I was a little girl I would climb up close to it and study every detail until I could almost feel the slivers in the bridge on bare feet. I recently told her how much I love that picture, so she took it down from the wall to write on the back that it is to go to me when she is gone. I almost cried.

I was delighted to find a very nice cross stitch interpretation of this image.
